For the month of January, we reached out to the Lazarus House in Lawrence. Lawrence and some of the surrounding area has always been a multi-ethnic and multicultural gateway city with a high percentage of foreign-born residents. Unemployment is typical twice the national average. Lazarus House provides services to struggling individuals and families and donations help to feed and clothe residents, add to their general quality of life, and restore dignity and self-respect. We placed boxes at the Marblehead High School and the Community Store. We also had a few people contact us to pick up donations at their houses. We were able to collect up to 500 cans. Thank you to everyone who participated!
